Complicated*
On Monday, I ordered this beautiful white gold diamond cross pendant from Amazon. For weeks I had been searching for a new pendant to replace my old cross pendant that I lost some time ago. I went from one department store and jewelry store to the next, but either the price was too high or the design was too pious. Then it occured to me, why not try the internet!? Duh! In no time, I found this and instantly paid for it.
Amazon estimated delivery to be somewhere between September 28th to October 2nd. So imagine my surprise to see a package waiting at our door today! First of all, I had specifically instructed Amazon to have it delivered to my office because I don’t trust my neighbors. Secondly, whoohoo, it came early! All is forgiven, Amazon, just don’t do it again!
It felt like Christmas morning as I ripped through the packaging, eager to find out what it was even though the package said it was from Amazon. I slowly opened the small jewelry box and beheld a hopelessly tangled silver chain wrapped around the pendant.
I sighed and began to untangle (detangle?) the chain, then tackled
the impossibly tight knots in it. Forty-five minutes of yelling and cursing at this expensive and shiny puzzle eventually rewarded me with a beautiful chain around my neck.
Then I went a little crazy with my camera cause that’s what you do when you’ve had a very long day – you do something you love. Or someone, but since I didn’t have one, I played with my camera instead.
*Dedicated to my buddy Bill who made me laugh out loud at work today. Thanks for making my day!
